Praise for Ace of Clubs:
“If you like soccer and psychological suspense, this learned, thoughtful, and perceptive book is for you! S. F. Armstrong captures the corporate ethos of the game and, at the same time, compellingly draws the reader into the interpersonal struggles and triumphs of the players, family, and staff. It is a satisfying read!”

About
S.F. Armstrong
Whether it be podcasting about local music, watching Liverpool Football Club in a pub, or studying existential-phenomenological psychology, author S.F. Armstrong is consumed by what happens when self meets circumstance. While studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland, Armstrong visited cities across Europe and encountered plenty of football fans, yet noticed that the sporting culture was different than in the United States as well as from city to city. Since then, Armstrong’s interest in the beautiful game’s ability to explain politics, culture, and other socio-political topics like gentrification, immigration, and racism has been a growing fascination. As the foremost global sport, the potential to foster understanding by exploring the world of football appears endless.
